Recycling Event – BCC’s Creation Care team is partnering with the City of Bellingham to sponsor a drive-through recycling event on Saturday, April 19, from 12 to 3 pm at Civic Field, 1335 Civic Field Way. You can bring: sensitive documents for shredding and/or electronics, batteries, and athletic shoes for reuse and recycling. For more information, visit the City’s website

Do you have old sneakers? – BCC's Creation Care team is collecting old sneakers and athletic shoes to go to secondhand markets for resale at affordable prices to those in need. Heavily used and damaged shoes are recycled or converted to create new energy. Please tie or rubber-band matching shoes together. NOT ACCEPTED: NON-ATHLETIC FOOTWEAR OF ANY KIND. Drop off at the Recycling Event on April 19 (see above) or in the collection boxes in the foyer near the church office (until April 18).

BCC Discovery Trail — Tucked below on the hill behind our church building, our Discovery Trail winds through the wetland of a stream that feeds into Squalicum Creek. Take a few minutes to walk the wood-chipped trail and observe spring emerging in this native habitat! Also, join us for a maintenance work party on Saturday, April 26, 9-noon. Details to come.
